Kindness is love

If you cannot be kind to those who are far away from you, you cannot be kind to those who are near to you. Kindness knows no distance, knows no race, knows no color and knows no religion.

Kindness means you care for someone, even if you don’t see them, even if you haven’t met them (in case of social media friends), even if they are far from you. Kindness means you worry about the people who matter to you, even if you don’t matter to them. Kindness means you care about the welfare of others, even if it means that you are at your own stake. Kindness means understanding that like you, others are also having difficult times and may have been worse than what you are experiencing right now.

Kindness means a shoulder to lean on, a warm hug or a word of hope. Kindness means smiling to a stranger who is having a bad day. Kindness means giving food to a tired worker, even if you don’t know him/her personally. Kindness means a simple “how are you ?” text message. Kindness means remembering others, even if they don’t remember you. Kindness means patiently listening to someone who is crying over the phone or maybe crying to you in person. Kindness means crying with that person. Kindness is more than just giving a sympathy to someone who is in pain, but it means you are being empathetic, hoping that by doing so, you could ease his/her suffering even for a little while. Kindness means lifting up someone who is down. Kindness means helping others who are in great need. Kindness means giving encouragement to those who have lost their strength.

Be kind to others not because you are expecting something in return. Be kind to others not because they are kind to you. Be kind to others even they have done bad things to you. Be kind to others because you are kind.

Kindness is not a desperation for love. Kindness is a form of love. You give love when you are kind. You are kind because you give love to others, even if it’s not appreciated or returned.

In this world full of selfish people, be kind. In this world full of judgemental individuals, be kind. In this world full of apathy, be kind.

Be kind because our Creator is kind.
