Choices

Life is not about choosing between what is right or what is wrong. It is not about choosing what is good and what is bad.

Because in this life, we have two choices only- (1) what is good and (2) what is right, but what is the difference between the two?

All the things that we enjoy are good, but not all the good things that we enjoy are right.

Drinking alcohol, smoking, partying, sex, drugs and other vices- they make us feel good, but just because we think that trying all these things is good, it does not mean that what we are thinking is right. Why? Because certain laws and jurisdictions dictate that these vices are not right for us, that at the end, they will bring us to destruction.

It is the same manner when it comes to decisions. Sometimes, we will find ourselves in the middle of choosing between what we think is good for us versus what we think is right for us.

It is good to earn money, but are we doing the right job?

It is good to spend wealth, but are we spending it the right way?

It is good to be in a relationship with someone special, but the question, is it the right relationship for us?

It is good to be married, but are we marrying the right person?

It is good to be in love, but is it the right kind of love?

In this life, we have two choices only- (1) what is good and (2) what is right, but always choose what is right because what is good may not be always right, but what is right will always be good.
